Oversized carbide, mining heads and material from drilling assemblies
We purchase and technologically process heavy carbide and tungsten assemblies that do not fit the usual tool-scrap category.
Heavy drilling and mining parts contain carbide in a steel structure
Cemented carbide is used not only in small cutting tools but also in mining, tunnelling, drilling and earth-cutting applications. Drilling heads, roller bits, mining tools and other wear parts can contain tens or hundreds of carbide elements in a massive steel body.
We purchase and process
- large mining and drilling heads
- material from drilling assemblies and roller bits
- heavy assemblies fitted with carbide
- oversized carbide and tungsten alloys
- broken or decommissioned technological parts
Size is not automatically an obstacle
If a piece is too large for normal handling or further recycling operations, suitable materials can be size-reduced and crushed. The aim is to obtain a more manageable fraction and separate the valuable carbide from other materials.
In practice, we have crushed individual pieces weighing several hundred kilograms. What matters is the design of the part, the carbide content and the required output fraction after processing.
Processing also as a service
The customer does not have to sell all the material. For suitable orders, we can offer technological processing itself as a service if the customer wishes to handle the resulting material independently.

For heavy assemblies, construction matters, not just weight
A massive drilling or mining part may weigh tens or hundreds of kilograms, but carbide is often present only in the working elements. It is therefore necessary to distinguish the steel body, bearings or other components from the actual carbide content.
Technological pre-processing can turn a large, difficult-to-handle assembly into a smaller, easier-to-sort fraction. For some jobs, processing can be more efficient than selling the complete heavy part as mixed metal scrap.
What we assess in advance
maximum dimensions and weight of the piece
method of mounting the carbide elements
required output after processing
handling and loading logistics
Carbide is often part of a much larger steel assembly
In mining and drilling applications, cemented carbide is often used as a wear-resistant working element in a massive steel body. We therefore assess the construction of the entire part and the actual proportion of valuable carbide.

Frequently asked questions
How large carbide pieces can you handle?
Oversized pieces are assessed individually according to size, construction and how the carbide is connected to the carrier.
Do you purchase parts from drilling assemblies?
Yes. We handle drilling heads, bits and other heavy carbide-fitted parts according to type and quantity.
Can you crush the material?
For suitable oversized carbide, we perform size reduction and crushing. Conditions depend on the construction of the specific material.
Quick guide to our purchasing categories
Do you have this material for sale?
For a specific offer, we need the material type, approximate quantity and location. For larger stocks, we also arrange logistics.
