We purchase cemented-carbide drawing dies and matrices used for wire drawing and other forming operations – both separate carbide cores and complete cased parts.
Carbide drawing dies work directly in the drawing process
Carbide cores (carbide nibs) are used in wire drawing dies because they must withstand high pressure and abrasive wear over long periods. We encounter them both as separate carbide cores and as complete dies mounted in steel or other casings.

You do not need to remove the casing in advance
If the carbide core is press-fitted or otherwise mounted in a casing, we can assess the material as a complete part. For larger quantities, processing and separation of the carbide fraction can be arranged.
Not only dies for round wire
In addition to classic round drawing dies, carbide is also used for specialized profiles and forming applications. If you have atypical dies, forming tools or another wear-resistant part, an individual assessment is appropriate.
Carbide is the working core of the drawing die
During drawing, the wire passes through the die opening and the carbide core is directly exposed to pressure and abrasive wear. This is why tungsten-carbide-based materials with high hardness and wear resistance are used for these tools.
Scrap may contain removed cores alone, complete dies in steel casings, larger matrices and profile parts. It is common for every piece to have a different bore and size; they do not need to be sorted by wire diameter for purchasing.

Yes. Complete cased dies are assessed as combined material; the carbide core does not need to be removed beforehand.
Do you also accept cracked or worn drawing dies?
Yes. The tool does not need to be functional for purchasing.
Do you purchase different profiles and sizes?
Yes. Round, profile and atypical pieces are handled according to construction and quantity.
