Solid materials containing WC-Co / WC-Ni and other sintered carbide parts. They may be clean, coated, worn, cracked or part of larger assemblies.
Materials that do not look like conventional carbide tools but may contain significant amounts of tungsten and binder metals. Composition, moisture, oil and impurity content are crucial for this group.
The material does not need to be cleanly separated in advance. We purchase and, for selected assemblies, technologically process carbide bonded to steel, brazing alloy or another carrier.
We separate pure tungsten and technical tungsten alloys from cemented carbide as a separate material group. Value depends on actual composition and W content.
HSS is a separate group of high-alloy tool steels. We purchase tools, shank material, offcuts and chips according to grade and composition.
Dies, punches, drawing dies, housings, rings, segments, wear parts, blanks and other solid sintered parts. This group covers carbide hard scrap that is neither a standard VBD insert nor a solid drill or end mill.

In manufacturing, cemented carbide also occurs in parts that do not initially look like conventional cutting tools. It makes sense to sort these materials separately and offer them for individual assessment.

Rods, cylindrical and shaped blanks, non-conforming pieces, work-in-progress parts and residues from tool manufacturing.

Old tool inventories and mixtures of several carbide types. For larger quantities, separation into material fractions is worthwhile.
In addition to conventional drawing dies, cemented carbide is also used in pressing and forming tools. Purchased stock may therefore contain individual cores as well as complete working parts in steel housings.
Documentation is often missing for old tool inventories. For an initial assessment, information about quantity, origin and use is sufficient; markings or a material analysis help with classification if available.
We purchase used milling heads, cutters and other machining tools in which carbide is bonded to a steel or other metal body.
The material does not need to be dismantled in advance. We accept individual pieces as well as larger mixed lots of industrial tools. Depending on the tool design, we separate the carbide fraction from the carrier and process the material further.
We purchase W-Ni-Fe, W-Ni-Co and other tungsten heavy alloys as solid pieces, offcuts, crushed fractions and machining chips. Actual composition and cleanliness are crucial for these materials.
WNi materials


We purchase tungsten-copper materials: pieces, blocks, plates, electrical contacts, electrodes, offcuts and production residues.
WCu is used mainly in electrical engineering, high-power contacts, electrodes and thermally stressed applications. We assess individual grades according to their actual composition.
More about WCu purchasing →Tungsten coils and wire evaporation sources are used in vacuum coating to heat and evaporate metals. In industry, tungsten coils designed for vacuum metallisation are used, for example, to evaporate aluminium.

Industrial tungsten recycling is not a single universal process. Technical literature distinguishes direct recycling, chemical (indirect) recycling, semi-direct routes and smelting metallurgy. The choice of subsequent processing depends primarily on waste form, cleanliness, composition and degree of contamination.
SK/VBD inserts, solid-carbide drills and end mills, drawing dies, dies, wear parts and other solid WC-Co components. Well-sorted and clean material creates better conditions for efficient downstream recycling.
Fine production waste requires a different assessment. In industrial recycling chains, chemical conversion routes are often used for soft scrap and can also handle more complex inputs.
For milling picks, mining tools and brazed parts, pre-processing is a key step: dismantling, steel separation, removal of brazing alloy and concentration of the valuable carbide fraction.
Technical sources note that tungsten can be lost mainly through wear, dilution in another metal stream or disposal without separation. It therefore makes sense to capture tungsten-bearing material at the source, identify it correctly and separate it from steel or other carriers.

Material identified as WCP is accepted for individual assessment. Chemical composition must be verified for the specific lot.

The same material is described by several technical and commercial terms. Alongside tungsten carbide, the industry commonly uses cemented carbide, WC-Co, hardmetal, carbide scrap and tungsten carbide scrap. We classify material by actual composition and form, not by one specific trade name.
